Frequently Asked Questions

  • I typically work with companies led by visionary CEOs who have found product-market fit and are in the thick of scaling, typically between 10 and 100 people. I’m especially effective when a business has strong departmental leaders but needs operational leadership across functions.

  • I do two kinds of work:

    • Fractional leadership: Usually as a COO or VP of Operations, 10–20 hours per week.

    • Advisory and consulting engagements: Targeted, time-bound work to solve specific problems or build systems—often in operations, finance, or internal processes.

  • Both. I first worked fully remotely in 2012 and know how to be effective that way. I’m also local to Colorado and enjoy in-person collaboration when it makes sense. Passionate whiteboard scribbling is unbeatable for breaking down and communicating complex ideas in progress.

  • It’s not my preferred model. I may be able to provide transitional leadership if it's scoped and time-bound, but I specialize in fractional roles or targeted consulting projects that are focused and high-leverage.

  • For fractional roles I typically charge a flat monthly fee, adjusted to match the time and scope. For advisory and consulting engagements I typically charge a fixed fee or bill hourly, depending on the structure. For longer engagements, effective rates are lower. I may request a retainer early on while we establish a working rhythm.

You're paying for the right amount of time from an operations executive with 20+ years of experience across organizations from 30 to 3,000 people—without the corporate overhead. No layers, no fluff. Just as much targeted, high-value leadership as you need, when you need it.

  • I have no fixed playbook. My work is always grounded in your business’s actual needs, systems, and people. I’m fluent in EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and acting as the Integrator in that environment is a natural role for me. I also often adhere to the principles laid out in the book, 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX).

  • My work is focused on advising senior leaders and building systems that support them. I don’t act as a project manager directing front-line staff. If you’re looking for tactical task management, I’m probably not the right fit.
